Escrow Fraud in University Place: The Case of Fargo Enterprises vs. Texas Homeland Title

In a troubling case of escrow fraud, Fargo Enterprises, LLC is taking legal action against HouseSmith Title Group, LLC, doing business as Texas Homeland Title Company, and its alleged closing agent and attorney, Donna Rodriguez. The dispute centers on a property transaction in the upscale neighborhood of University Place in Houston.

Fargo Enterprises, LLC, based in Harris County, sought to purchase a property located at 2133 Albans Road, West University. The company was contacted by Jose Sandoval regarding the assignment of a contract for this property. The agreement was made, and Fargo Enterprises took on the interests of the purchaser.

HouseSmith Title Group, LLC, operating under various names including Texas Homeland Title Company, was engaged to serve as the escrow agent for the transaction. Donna Rodriguez, who is listed as both the closing agent and attorney, was responsible for overseeing the closing process.
