Texans Security Chief Deposed in Watson Case as Trial Nears

The Houston Texans’ Chief Security Officer and Director of Facility Operations sat for a nearly four hour deposition last month in Deshaun Watson’s sexual assault case, providing testimony that could shed light on what the organization knew about Watson’s conduct and when they knew it.

Brent Naccara was deposed November 6 by attorneys for plaintiff Ikea Roberts, with both Watson’s legal team and separate counsel for the Texans present. The sealed transcript was filed in Harris County District Court on December 22, less than two months before the case goes to trial on February 18.

Naccara’s role at the Texans makes him a critical witness. As the executive overseeing both security and facility operations, he would have direct knowledge of what rooms or resources the organization provided to Watson, what security measures were in place, and whether concerns about Watson’s conduct were reported up the organizational chain.
